We enter round 12 playing 600-1200 with 200 antes and duck and weave for 45 minutes keeping our stack stable.
We raise to 2500 from seat 4 with 89c and seat 6 rudely raises to 6200. Everyone else folds. The pot is over 12000 and it's 3700 to call and maintain our table image. It's important that people dont think we were just trying to steal the blinds! We call.
Flop comes 28Q. We have a mid pair and the Q is a club. We check and he bets 6500. Unless he has a Q o a big pocket pair we are in the lead, but if he does have u brat he will have three chances to make us pay to see it. We call one time!
The turn comes Ac. Excellent! A second club and if he does have a pocket pair he now has to be worried that we hit the A or Q. We check and he checks.
River comes Jc. Amazing! We runner runner a flush! We want him to call our bet so we bet out 10500 and he pushes all in!!! The only hand that can beat us is a club flush with either the T or K because the AQJ are already on the board. Would he be betting the way he has with K7c or T7? No. The only hand he can possibly have that beats us and that he could have played this way is the KTc. Of course that gives him a royal flush, the best possible hand in the entire world of poker, TJQKAc.
Betting against the royal flush, we call an he shows TKh. He rivered a straight. We were actually in the lead the entire post flop hand and we double up to over 120000.
13 minutes into round 13, playing 800 1600 with 200 antes, the floor falls to 198 players and we are IN THE MONEY!!!
We then play a series of losing hands getting chipped down 5-7000 each time. Not so much fun that.
Seat 4 limps and it comes to us on the button with 33. Great hand to see a flop on if we can do so cheaply. We limp and the blinds limp behind us. The flop comes 89T with 2 spades and everyone checks to us. Unlikely the blinds hit this an didn't bet. Seat 4 has limped before with 2 big cards, which likely wouldn't hit this. We bet 3500. The blinds fold but seat 4 flat calls. That means he is still fishing or he is slow playing a set. The turn comes Td putting 2 diamonds on the board. He checks and we bet 7000. If he has over cards, he should fold. He does.
We raise from seat 4 to 3200 with JQ and get calls from seat 7 and the BB. The flop comes 45J with 2 spades. SB checks and we bet 5000 seat 4 calls and the BB check raises to 14000. We are probably ahead but he could have a set or a flush draw. We call. The turn comes 9s. Not good. He bets 20000 into us. There's a good chance we are in the lead but if he has a flush we could pay 60000 finding out. Also we have the Qs so a river spade gives us a flush, but he is the BB and could have the Ks or As. What to do what to do???? At times of such confusion i feel it's best to run and hide. We fold.
We move tables, win a couple small pots from the blind positions and finish round 13 with 109400 in chips and 165 opponents.
Giddey-Up Donkey!
